About Manali

The city is named after the Manu, one of the Indian Gods. Manali is nestled in the Kullu district of the Himachal Pradesh and surrounded by the great Himalayas. The climate of the place is on a colder side and often its snow spree. The city was an important part of the ancient travel trade route to Ladakh previously and now for bike rides.


Manali is a year-round destination as you will find it different in every season. The best time to visit the Manali is summer months, March to June, during these months temperatures are in between 7-15 degrees and the climate are lively pleasant. Another peck season is just after the monsoon, September and October when the city has all those happy refreshing vibes. During the winter months, the city is freezing, but that doesn’t stop the flow of the tourist as the winter snow activities are huge tourist attractions. If you are backpacker, the Manali is a year-round destination for you as few activities still grab your attention even during the rainy season also.


The Manali is beginning pass of the Leh Ladakh bike rides and apart from driving by roads, tourist can go there by air or train. Bhuntur airport is at the distance of the 10 kilometres from the Manali and you can take flights to Manali from all most all major cities of India. Even though air travel will save you time, if you want to make the most out of the views and landscapes take bus or road drives or train. The near major cities connected to the Manali by road are Delhi (540km), Chandigarh (305km), Dehradun (227km) and Ambala (370km). The nearest railway station is Jogindernagar railway station and you can take taxies or bus from there to Manali. Manali is one of those magical vacation places where you can enjoy your vacations at majestic mountains and in snowfalls.


Just like beautiful sceneries, the Manali offers you luscious food scenes too. The Manali offers authentic local cuisine dishes such as Dham, Tudkiya bath, bhey , siddu, and kale chane ka khatta. The traditional cuisine also offers some heartwarming deserts as mittha and many others. Apart from the traditional taste, the food of Manali is heavily influenced by surrounding countries and tourists so you will find various street foods and Tibetan dishes.
